I have always loved animals. Dogs were part of our household while I was growing up and they were my constant companions. My mom provided a way for me to take horse back riding lessons throughout my childhood and my Grandmother bought me my first horse, a Palomino mare named Lacy. My family and I enjoyed riding and spending time together. The love I had for horses continued to grow and as a teen, I attended a youth equestrian camp near my home and eventually worked some summers at the ranch as a camp counselor and trail guide.
Always wanting to learn more, as a young adult, I earned a Bachelor's Degree in Equine Science at Colorado State University. I also took some classes in Agricultural Journalism and Child Psychology. When not in class, I worked in the stallion lab, learning the science behind breeding and also how to handle the stallions, broodmares and foals. I competed on the CSU Equine Judging Team and I contributed articles to the schools Equine Sciences newsletter.
Upon returning to PA, I helped my family run a riding, training and breeding farm as well as judged some local and 4H horse shows. I also had opportunity to teach riding lessons at a another local farm and after marrying my husband, Scott, we both served at a Christian youth ranch in our area that was twice our home. In addition to working with horses, I began to work in the veterinary field in 1999 caring for dogs and cats.
I have learned through the years that animals often play a role in healing and I am eager to share my animals with people that God brings into my life. I believe that God use His creatures to help people find acceptance, hope and peace as they reveal His glory and His goodness to us.

HORSE OWNER/TRAINER/RIDING INSTRUCTOR:
The Lord has blessed me with many years of caring for and interacting with horses. I have ridden and judged many disciplines, my favorites being trail riding, reining, team penning and other cattle events. I especially love equine behavior and have studied over the years the way horses think and how God has designed them to communicate.
VETERINARY PROFESSIONAL/DOG OWNER/TRAINER:
God allowed some special dogs to be part of our lives. These two, Beverly and Aslan both earned Canine Good Citizen titles. Our dogs serve God alongside of us, visiting nursing homes, schools, church events and even an orphanage helping people feel accepted and loved.
When not working with my own animals, I have spent many years as a veterinary professio
AUTHOR:
Because of the extensive involvement I have had with teaching children to ride, I have often been approached by parents asking if and how they should pursue horse ownership. My first book, "So Your Kids Wants A Horse" was born out of this. I have also contributed articles to a local Christian news publication called Jubilee and the CSU Equine Science Newsletter. I look forward to writi
WOMAN OF FAITH:
I chose this photo because this is how God found me. Standing in and covered in the mud or filth of this world. However, He chose to call my name and pull me out of the mud and when I accepted Him, He changed my life forever. Of all the experiences in my life, meeting and embracing Jesus has been the best. His love and forgiveness is my greatest gift. I encourage you all to re
